About the Role
As an Analyst – Insurance Practice at BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing insurance profit pools, conducting financial analysis and benchmarking, and supporting BCG case teams with data-driven insights. This position is ideal for professionals with early experience in consulting, research, or insurance, who are eager to expand their expertise in a global consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth knowledge of insurers’ financial reporting (P&L and balance sheet) to support proprietary assets of the Insurance Practice Area.
- Build analytical models using Excel and technical platforms to drive market projections.
- Perform financial and operational data analysis, benchmarking, and market research.
- Work collaboratively in global and virtual team settings, often in agile environments.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, sharing clear and concise insights.
- Frame and structure intellectual property for knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years’ experience in insurance research/consulting, preferably in non-life insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for data modeling and visualization.
- Exposure to VBA, SQL, or Alteryx is a plus.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Collaborative work style, adaptability, and curiosity for innovation.
